Sunny.

The clock is ticking for the epic season that was 2016-2017, but it's not over yet. On the very short list of open slopes, Jay Peak made the cut. We hope to be riding out this week, and going as far past it as we can, snowpack permitting.

Temps are already nearing 40F at the base and the sun is booming. Our Grooming teams focused their efforts on lower mountain trails during their shift, so we expect some of the terrain up top to have a thin layer of crust this morning.

Today we plan to have the Jet Triple and Taxi Quad open, along with 23 trails. The Jet is slated for a 9:00 AM start, while the Taxi should be going around 8:30 AM. Last chair today will be at 4:00 PM.

End of season lift tickets are currently $35 for Juniors ages 6-18 and $49 for Adults ages 19+.

TRAM AND SPRING LIFT UPDATE: The Tram is officially closed for the winter season. The upgrade project is underway and the Tram is scheduled to re-open this summer. Stay tuned for video updates of the $5 million project throughout the spring. As for the rest of the lifts on Tramside......they're closed too.. The Stateside area of the resort will remain open seven days a week until....well, until we're tired of skiing and riding. With close to 500 inches of snow this season, we'll be taking the season out into May.

Looking to stay with us? Spring lodging rates are $115 for 2 people and $135 for family of 4.These are valid April 27-29 and May 5-6. Give a call to our Reservations Team at 800-451-4449 to learn more.

2017 Raised Jay Day Camps

For kids, a summer week can last so much longer than the days it encompasses. Every moment of a Raised Jay camp will stay with your son or daughter forever. From the first paddle of a kayak to the 18th hole, your Raised “Jayer” will experience hiking, ice skating, surfing, golf, kayaking, tie-dye, outdoor survival skills, rappelling, and, most importantly, the simple, free feeling of being a careless kid in the summer. These camps might last from Monday to Friday, but the moments only grow larger every day thereafter.

Lynx Mountain Guides of Vermont will once again be leading Thursday’s adventure with a rock climbing, rappelling, and mountaineering experience for our Raised Jay Campers via the summit of Jay Peak; the very top of Vermont.

Not only will your kids be Raised Right, but they'll also be Fed Right, with lunches cooked by our in-house Food & Beverage Team, and options for even the pickiest of eaters. Healthy snacks, in the form of fruit or granola bars, will also be available in the morning and afternoon.

In order to be eligible to be Raised Jay, children must be between the ages of 6 and 12.

Each session is five days long (Monday to Friday) from 9am to 4pm and limited to 25 campers. Dates available are:

  • July 10th - 14th, 2017
  • July 17th - 21st, 2017
  • July 24th - 28th, 2017
  • August 7th - 11th, 2017

2017 Overnight Wilderness Camp

A continuation of what it means to be Raised Jay, your teens (kids ages 12-16) will experience a 3-day adventure trip in the forests surrounding Jay Peak. Shelter building, water & food procurement, map & compass orientation, and proper backpacking techniques, will just be a taste of the adventure. The trip lasts 3 days and will be staffed by our trained mountain guides, well versed in environmental education, outdoor safety, and having as much fun as humanly possible.
